The Reel/Report: Darci Naftulin
Get to Know the SoCal-Based Senior Project Manager.
Hi Darci! Tell us a little bit about yourself. What is your role at VidMob, what office are you located in, and how long have you been at the company?
I’m a Senior Project Manager at VidMob, I’ve been working here for a year and a couple of months, pre-COVID I was based in the LA – West Hollywood office but since March I’ve been working remote up in Northern California where I’m from.
What made you want to work in the creative industry? When did you discover you wanted to pursue this kind of role?
I have always had a passion for all things creative and love to work as close to it as I can, while I don’t have the ability to design myself I enjoy being part of the creative process, ideating, and overseeing production. I’ve had lots of jobs since graduating college but my biggest takeaways from all of them are that creativity in content is such a huge driver of a consumer’s interaction with a brand and I love being able to fuel that fire.
What do you miss the most about working in the West Hollywood office?
My coworkers, sit and stand desks, and the view of the Hollywood Hills from the conference room.
You’re a huge techno/electronic/dance music fan. What artist have you had on repeat these last few months and why?
I often find myself dancing around my house listening to the new Griz releases, really going back to my Colorado days!
But I’ve also been grooving to a lot of chill electronic music such as FKJ and listening to LOTS of Khruangbin which is kind of in a global funk league of their own.
What do you enjoy most about working with members of the Creator Community?
I love the fact that each individual creator possesses a different set of fine-tuned skills from the next, I think the diversity of our Creator Community is one of the things that inherently makes VidMob stand out against the rest.
I think especially in the times we’re living in it’s been nice to grow relationships with creators all over the world. It’s a great reminder that no matter where you are or what you do, we’re all facing similar universal challenges in this moment and we have to continue to treat each other with kindness and understanding.
Have you picked up any new exciting new hobbies during quarantine?
I’ve been cooking lots of new recipes and pushing myself to make things that I find challenging, it’s been really fun. I love to use my family as the tasting judges to see if the dish gets “chopped”
What’s one thing you want the members of the Creator Community to know about you?
I am so appreciative of the work that our creators do and the amazing pieces of content that you all help to produce. You are the reason that we continue to satisfy the needs of our clients and keep them coming back for more, so THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for your time Darci!
