The Cause

SOUL RYEDERS is a volunteer driven non-profit organization in Rye, New York committed to empowering those affected by all types of cancer. They offer resources and nurturing support services for individuals in cancer treatment, recovery or survivorship. SOUL RYEDERS has created initiatives such as The Wig Exchange to loan wigs to clients during treatment and Stitch & Sip to engage volunteers of all ages in creating handmade, comforting and practical items for those they serve. They have worked in conjunction with corporate volunteers, community service clubs, and religious organizations to help coordinate supplies and projects.

Our Partnership

In one of our longer videos, VidMob helped SOUL RYEDERS announce a new matching donation campaign for its COVID-19 programming. Within just one week, SOUL RYEDERS shifted their client programming online to serve those affected by cancer during this extraordinary time and continue to provide the personalized client support they are known for. Adaptability is key and video can help communicate such flexibility. As told by a private donor, SOUL RYEDERS’ response to COVID has been spectacular in the way they adjusted all of their programs so quickly. Now more than ever people need the help and SOUL RYEDERS has not missed a beat helping those facing cancer in this uncertainty.”

The Result

SOUL RYEDERS launched a $30K match program through an anonymous donor, and our video was used as its center promo material. Throughout the month-long campaign, we helped SOUL RYEDERS surpass its $30,000 goal by more than $15,000. But this video was not confined to fundraising alone. SOUL RYEDERS is built on the foundation of its volunteers. The video included action items for its volunteer community, challenging viewers to make masks and join the SOUL RYEDERS letter writing campaign to healthcare workers. We were able to help connect dozens of volunteers in coordination of these efforts. Almost 1,000 masks were made through this campaign and donated to local hospitals. The handwritten thank you cards were sent to 5 local hospitals in Westchester.
